Grownups

Being a grownup around kids can sometimes stop you in your tracks and make you think “hang on a minute I am actually a grownup. I’ve got to be the responsible adult here”.

And being a grownup in charge of kids draws out many facets of our character. We must present ourselves as a good role model, or they will copy what we do. We must be firm, or they will do what we don’t want them to do. We must be patient, or things get fractious. We must be loving, to build their confidence and self-worth. We must watch what we say or they will say it back. We must give in sometimes for our own sanity and theirs….but then you give an inch and they take a mile. It’s so familiar to all of us.

Whilst we can’t solve all your challenges you face as a parent, grandparent etc, because we are in the thick of it too, we have a good idea of where you are coming from and we think we can contribute to you helpfully in some way.

So, Izziwizzi Kids aims to bring you lots of useful stuff as a grownup around kids. Activity ideas, gift ideas, competitions, offers, tips and insights. And of course those special antidotes for those moments when you want to tear your hair out.
