We have more festive fun in store for you this week. Why not try your hand at making some hand made soap? It’s easy to do and will impress the socks off your family. Your kids will enjoy experimenting with colours and festive sprinkles. Put a toy into the soap to encourage hand washing and hygeine, which is particularly important at this time of year. And make some extra festive soap for Grandma – She’ll love it. And if your still struggling of what to buy those tricky to buy for kids this Christmas, we’ve got some great ideas for you.
HobbyCraft have a brand new range of Spa Craft soap making materials and soap making kits. They have also produced this rather handy free leaflet to help you make your hand made soap.
The original inspiration for treat soap along with full instructions can be found at www.quirkymomma.com. You’ll find lots of entertaining things there to do with your kids.
We have also created full printable instructions.

Hi,
We love making sand art brownies for all the female relatives. We buy some cheap glass tumblers and then add 1/2 cup each of the following cocoa, sugar, white chocolate, milk chocolate, flour and brown sugar. It doesn’t matter in which order and then cover the top with some festive wrapping and add a christmas tag with the instructions:
Pour ingredients into a bowl. Add 1tsp vannila essence, 4oz sunflower oil and 2 eggs. Mix. Pour into 7″ x 7″ tin and bake for 30 mins on gas mark 4.
They always go down really well, are easy for the children to prepare and they look fab!

Our best Christmas craft is making paper chains to decorate the house. We decorate the paper strips with glitter and sparkles and my children colour and draw Christmas pictures on the strips before making the chain.
Christmas is great, there’s so many crafty things you can make! Christmas cards made by my kids are always a hit with family. I just give them card, lots of glitter, glue, paper shapes etc and leave them to it.
My children love to decorate and make paper chains, they use glitter and sparkles and do Christmas drawings before making them into Christmas paper chains. They look fab around the house.
Christmas nativity lolipop stick puppets can be brilliant fun. Simply let the children draw the joseph and mary and three wise men etc (or use clip art and print). Then draw some scenery (crib, barn etc). Finally, stick the pictures onto lollipops and let the children act out the nativity!
