Jack and Jill Went Up The Hill (The Entertaining Version)

IMG_5442.JPG

This is the version of Jack and Jill that I find very entertaining from the Ladybird book of Nursery Rhymes 1966.

Here are the words to the nursery rhyme Jack and Jill Went Up The Hill..

Jack and Jill went up the hill
To fetch a pail of water;
Jack fell down and broke his crown,
And Jill came tumbling after.

Up Jack got, and home did trot,
As fast as he could caper,
To old Dame Dob, who patched his nob
With vinegar and brown paper.

Ouch!! Old Dame Dob…That’s got to hurt! The don’t write them like they used to. And this picture is great. Jill looks startled! What else can I say.
